Just wondering how much of a job this is? Due to me being keggy handed and having limited options at the cheap end of the market, I opted for a modest Tele copy a few years ago.

I like the guitar and it plays pretty well for my level, but I'd prefer a fatter/bucker sound so was looking into fitting a mini humbucker at the neck rather than the expense and hassle of selling/buying a new guitar.

Will this be pretty straight forward or will I have to pull the Tele apart to find out? I believe some have space for a MHB but some need routing out.

Probably been covered loads of times so if anyone has any links or anything that would be cool.

Thanks.

Thanks. Do I need to swap both pups or can I get away with just fitting one at the neck, and is there much electronics matching/altering I need to look for?

You can just swap one pickup if you want. humbuckers use(typicaly) 500k pots and .022uf tone caps. Single coils (typicaly) use 250k pots and .047uf tone caps. but you can use any you want. The tone will just be diffrent.
