Hi guy, best pickups for 8 string for proper metal tone not djent (like the style hate the tone)
I'm stuck between:
EMG 808X, dimarzio D activator 8 or bare knuckle miracle man 8.
What do you think?

Whats a "proper" metal tone? Surely its all subjective.

If it was me, I'd go with the Bareknuckles. I've used a 6 string Miracle Man and holy hell its awesome, maybe a little too heavy for classic metal but still, pretty epic.

Lace has some 8-string pickups, such as the Deathbars, an expanded version of the Alumitone Deathbuckers.

Why, yes, I am a lawyer- thanks for asking!

The Lace ones sound like EMGs but more clear, like the Dactivators. Pretty sweet, imo.

Dimarzio also has a Tosin Abasi signature set (Ionizer) coming out soon...

When I say proper metal I mean, max gain high lows and treble with scooped mids etc
