Hey guys whats up I have a question regarding a custom head shell I will be building for my peavey windsor mod project that I cant seem to find anywhere on the net.

What is the best wood to use for the amp heads shell?
-Now I dont think it matters especially not as much as cab wood but i really want to do the build right, with the best durability to tone to price ratio.

Also what are some good sites that sell tolex and amp feet and stuff?

Thanks guys.

18mm plywood, use dovetail or finger joints for more strength.

A couple of vents to let out heat are advised.

Kk thanks for the info i was planning on using the finger joints already as well as the vents but had no clue about the wood. Its perfect plywood is so cheap too.
