Im interested to hear what it sounds like and get some solid details for it.
Potentially it could be a competitor in the uber-high gain amp territory.
But yeah, that is going to be so stupidly expensive...

I imagine it will be like most amps created by guitar companies= total shit. Also Syn's tone has always been bloody awful but who knows, maybe it will surprise me.

Ibanez RGD2127fx

What's with all the hell stuff schecter has? Is it for teh br00talz?

It makes them look hardcore. No sissy jazz or classic blues

But seriously, "Hellwin" was the best name they could come up with?

All the hardcore metal crap, and yet they still make stuff like the stargazers and PT fastbacks. They just can't decide which type of music they want to exploit.

Sig'd.
But yeah. I agree with all the comments here, the name will be pricey (Just like for Kirk Hammet and James Hetfield not to mention many others) and it will lack diversity as it's by Schecter, which are mainly played for Hardcore "teh br007alz" players. I'm a Schecter owner myself. Great guitar, but no way are the amps gonna be much good.

Schecter's been updating nonstop their Facebook page about their new amp line. They even responded to my comment on their cab with a sub woofer in it saying how amazing they sound. I just stopped there because of the stupid.

What they need to do is make a decent mid-range amp that doesn't have Syn's 'signature tone' or his name on it - without his name on it the price might be reasonable.
#21
I won't buy any signature gear simply because I like the artist associated with it, but I will certainly refrain from buying something because I can't stand the artist associated with it... Which is the case with this.

(Not like I'm in the market for a high gainer anyway.)

I saw in a couple of pictures that on Bucketheads Les Paul (only some pictures) that his neck pickup is painted in white. Can anyone explain to me why he would do this, and if there are any pros and cons.

James Brown is also the guy behind Amptweaker pedals. Pretty brilliant engineer, and there is no reason in my mind to believe the amps will suck.
#26
oh wow i just scrolled down the the pics of the amp o_O

I mean i'm sure they'll sound pretty good (i'm well aware that james brown is an amp guy, not the godfather of soul ) but man that thing doesn't look very nice Won't affect the sound, of course, but... dang.

I'm sure they have their target market pinned and have geared the aesthetics and marketing accordingly.

I don't get what Schecter's obsession with A7X is..

They are the only band that agrees to make them $$$$. Dont get me wrong I liked A7X when I first heard them and up to bat country, but then it all sounded the same

And I have listened to some bands for 20+yrs and they dont get as old as the A7X albums

Well, apart from being their #1 endorsing artist by far...

A7X's endorsement deals pretty much put Schecter on the map as a br00tl guitar company, every 14-year-old wants to buy a Schecter and be Gates. God knows how many Korean Gates Customs have been sold to date.

Hell, I'll admit that's a big reason I like them. Look at my sig for christ's sake.

Well, it's a strategy, Cath. The details and info are purposely withheld so that curiosity can compound into buzz, which media outlets will hopefully race to act on. With a saturated show like NAMM, companies are fighting for the media coverage.
