so after cleaning out our practice space, me and my friend found a yamaha power amp that doesn't power on. Our hope is to fix it and sell if for a few hundred bucks, and i'm looking for advice as to what the problem may be. My first thought is that a fuse blew. I opened it up and there are three fuses, two of them look brand new, the other has some kind of coating on it and you can't see the inside. Does the lack of power suggest a broken fuse?

If it just doesn't respond at all theres like a million things it could be.

Test the fuses for continuity. If you're trying to repair anything electrical, you should really have a multimeter and know how to test for continuity. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, that's okay, just google it.
