Hi guys

used the sticky to hopefully provide all info you need

Budget? - around £200 (no more than 2-50)

Genres? - 90s/early 2000s pop punk so need some distortion but not interested in uber metal tones - nofx, lagwagon, no use for a name, the ataris, vandals, mxpx etc

New or Used? - new ideally

Home or Gig? - both - but have a nice orange 15 watt for practising but looking for something around the 30 watt mark for small gigs

Closest City? - birmingham, uk

Current Gear? - for live yamaha pacifica 112 (doesnt matter if it gets bashed about a bit), home and recording epiphone sg, epiphone les paul custom

cheers guys

do it.

phil is a member here too so its from a stand up guy.

well worth the extra £40 and you could sort a courier for it.

easily the best thing you will find in the sub £250 range.

also you wont get anything worth while new for £200-250.

I'm afraid I don't have an answer, but I wish more people would give that much information in their posts.

Jet City? Their 20 watter should do it I would think, but I haven't played one very extensively

I've sold it, sorry

£190. Someone got a ****ing bargain. Unfortunately it's just sitting in my hallway and I'm under pressure to get rid of it as I just bought a new one.

Go ahead and spend your money, I don't care. It won't make you sound better.

Sure upgrading your gear will make you sound better.

cheers for the replies guys

I have seen a Peavey Vypyr 75 on sale for £149 (£50 off) which makes it cheaper than the Vypyr 30 at £175

I see the Vypyr got great reviews on here so what do you guys think, would this do the trick? I hear they are little beasts and would do a small pub/club type venue and pretty reliable too. Probably more than I need effects etc wise however at that price better to have more than less
