anyone have ideas on how to remove the tip of a standard strat tremolo arm? i want to switch it for a black tip, and also if you have any ideas on how to remove the tip of the selector switch? tried to just pull it off and neither of them are budging.

Just grab it with some pliers and work it back and forth. It'll come off.

IIRC, some of the trem tips are screw on, others are pressed. Squiers are pressed for sure, but I think the MIA Standards are screw on. It's been a while, and there could be variations from year to year, too. No clue on the MIMs.

You might want to put some thick rubber between the plastic and the pliers so you don't mar the plastic. That stuff they use for you to get a better grip to open jars works well.
