I'm wondering if anyone has any recommendation for reverb units for shoegaze type music (mostly my bloody valentine and slowdive reverse-gated reverbs, I also like lush and catherine wheel...I also like other bands that use reverb a lot like jesus and mary chain).

Anyway, the units I was looking at are the Yamaha spx90 and fx500, and the alesis quadraverb and midiverb 2. Does anyone have experience/recommendations with any of those? All I know is that the spx90 drains tone from the guitar.

I would just get something like an ehx cathedral or memory man w/ hazarai...but I don't want to spend all of my money and I want to get into rack-mount effects sooner than later.

Thanks!

I've got an Alesis Midiverb 4 that I would part ways with . Mint condition and includes the power supply, manual, and quick reference sheets. PM me if you want pictures and such

Check out clips and reviews of them, it's a nice unit

If you just want reverb the Boss 1/2 rack RVV10 (I think?) is brilliant but it just does reverb. And you can snare them for £35 or so.

If you want to go the whole hog, look at the Lexicon LCM70. For some reason it's a lot sweeter than the ones that went after it.
