Good day!

The amps I have are wonderfull and all, but have a small inconvenience: they don't fit in my cars' bonnet!

The maximum that fits my bonnet is a 1x12 combo in its smallest form like a Marshall JCM 900 4501, Mesa .50 Caliber etc.
A widebody 1x12 like the Mesa mark V will not fit.

My demands for the amp:
-1x12 combo, non widebody
-2 channels, clean and dirty footswitchable
-FX loop
-minimum of 15 watts (in other words: no bedroom amps like a Blackstar HT5 etc)

Would be nice:
-Reverb
-Seperate EQ for each channel

Amps that I already can recall:
-Mesa .22 Studio
-Mesa .50 Caliber
-Mesa DC3
-Mesa Mark II, II and IV
-Marshall JCM 2000 201 and 401
-Marshall JCM 900 4501
-Marshall JVM 215c
-Engl Thunder, Screamer and Savage

Please list your ideas (budget doesn't really matter but availability in europe does)!

So this is your car, huh?

Any of the amps you listed are good choices. Have you played any of the ones you listed? Some good amps there.

Get some new wheels?

It's a good thing you don't ride a Vespa.
.

Remove V1 & V6. Put the 12AX7 from V1 into V6 and leave V1 empty. Try the vibrato channel.

Thanks for your opinions!
I actually HAD a mark IV, .50 cal, JCM 2000 201 and a JCM 900 4105 so I know how they sound like, I just want to see alternatives

I don't play metal, more blues/hardrock.

As for the car, its a lovely one with a tiny boot so I am willing to sacrifice
(for gigs I borrow an SUV to lug my 4x12 around). I need this little amp for just jamming with friends when I don't feel like hauling my 412 around.

The peavey 6505+112 and Mesa Rect-O-Verb 112 are too wide.

Try putting in the boot. The bonnet tends to have an engine under it, which does take up a lot of space- I realise that space is annoying, but the engine is an unfortunate requirement of most motor cars.

Haha you are awesome Jakey! Sorry for my unfortunate english
However: My boot is where most people would find there engine and thus call it the bonnet: In the front

A 6505 1x12 will easily fit into a front passenger seat.

Pretty sure the orange micro terror is 20 watts although its one channel and doesnt have reverb

Bingo @ Hobbit1066!

@ 667: I really don't want to put a heavy bulky amp which travels from mancave to mancave to gig to mancave on my beloved fancy leather seats made of virgin unicorn skin.........

You are being silly. It only weighs 64 lbs - that's less that half of an average adult! Put down some towels or something to protect your seats and don't sell yourself short.

Thanks for the suggestion but to be honest, I don't have leather made of virgin unicorn skin.... sorry.... but the true reason is: the spot is reserved for my guitars
I can't use the backseat because there is a wind-deflector positioned there, so my guitars are my sexy hotshot passenger and the amp needs to go in the front boot!

I know it's not 15 watts, but given your apparently extreme space limitations and your fixation on your auto, perhaps a Yamaha THR10 and a high-sensitivity 1x12 cab?

Would a Bogner Shiva 1x12 be bigger then a normal 1x12 combo?

Simple soultion:

Step 1: Buy cool halfstack.
Step 2: Throw chick out of passenger seat.
Step 3: Insert cabinet in passenger seat.
Step 4: Insert amplifier head in boot of car.
Step 5: Place guitar or bass behind front seats.

I have seen this work with a 1970's TR-7 and a Marshall Halfstack, and I've seen glove boxes bigger than the boot on that little P.O.S.!!!

Ok ok, if you must know: Its either a Porsche 911 Carrera convertible or a pimped Lada with leather of virgin unicorns, so the 4x12 will NOT fit on the passenger seat :P

Never liked that amp. To nasaly sounding. Compact as all get out but the sound is meh.

I love a good small tube amp and 1x12 cab. I drive a Mazda 2 so i understand driving in a small vehicle and having to transport your gear. Though its not a smart car its still small.

It is for practise really... When I go gigging I take my 4x12 + Marshall 2203 and Vox AC30.
There is no need for it to be the most awesome amp, thus I would take the .50 caliber over the mark IV because of costs and weight (You really need to lift the amp in and out of the car in a vertical way, not the most practical)

It is too bad that there is no smallsize Mesa Rectifier or Orange Rockerverb/thunderverb, that way it would really add a different taste to my current tonal spectrum.

Orange does make 1x12 and 2x12 Rockers and Thunder amps but yet they are heavy and expensive. Really not worth it for me but you may think otherwise.

I 've been more of a krank fan since i heard of them in 2003 and when Tony started Stiff Amps i just ran with it. But I love Orange amps as well. Very musical. Can't speak for the mesa's though i really dont follow them at all.
