So i don't know exactly if this is the right forum but look,my ibanez RG 4 that i got from my friend is an awesome guitar,i love it,except for the fact that it has this nasty sounding buzz,in and out of an amp. its like the strings are all loose but they are all tuned properly. I was thinking i needed new strings but i want to make sure.

Sounds like a grounding issue from the pickups.

In and out of the amp? Do all the strings rattle?

Go ahead and spend your money, I don't care. It won't make you sound better.

Yes,they rattle as if broken or tuned way to low, but no matter what tuning they are in. E,Drop D, D standard, C standard. They rattle.

Yea, it sounds like the strings could be hitting the frets, is the action quite low? If so, this is a common issue with an easy fix.

You might need a setup. There's a thread on the main forum page. Or you can take it to a shop, it's not very expensive.
