So I just started trying to use a Metronome to help increase my playing skills. But one thing I can't find the answer to, is if I am playing (for example) at 60BPM with four repetitive beats, do I pick once between every beat, or more? I'm trying to learn a Buckethead song that requires me to do this, but I wasn't sure if I picked once per beat or more.

Thanks!

up to you, i'd subdivide as little as possible unless you're specifically weeding out issues with subdivision

Hail isn't too edgy for posts, posts are not edgy enough for Hail.

You win. I'm done here.

It depends on the note durations. If it's quarter notes, then yes, 1 per beat. Eighth notes is 2, triplets is 3, sixteenths is 4, etc.

Junior's usually at least a little terse, but he knows his stuff. I've always read his posts in a grouchy grandfather voice, a grouchy grandfather with a huge stiffy for alternate picking.
Besides that, he's right this time. As usual.
