so i have a neck and body for a parts-caster build i am doing and i have a problem.
the heel of the neck is quite rounded but the neck joint itself is really square meaning there some gaps in the neck joint, mainly along the bottom corners and a little bit on the sides. how should i go about filling the gaps in?

sounds like you have a strat neck heel, but a tele heel routed body.

re-route the body to fit the corners of your neck.

would that mean filling in the neck joint with wood and re-routing?

Before you take a router to the guitar, bolt the neck on and measure the scale length. If its the correct scale now and you remove material from the body you could have intonation issues.

If it is a strat style neck and tele style pocket this should illustrate the issue:

Thanks.
Next time i get the chance to look at it i'll do the measurements to see if it is right
