I got a new guitar today. It's a 56' AVRI. Brand new in stock.

Here's a crap load of pictures.

I'm hoping you can see the grain on the pictures. When I saw it I just fell in love with it. The finish is so light that it's gonna wear naturally without any effort. You can almost feel the wood through the finish and I've been told it will chip easily. I'm gonna take care of it of course but I want a personal guitar, and this is it. A guitar should age with you. That's what I say, now this one can.

It has a 50's profile neck which is rolled. It's really something else. I'm not a huge fan of the nitro on the back of the neck as it feels a bit sticky. I've been assured that this will smooth out and be like butter quite quickly.

It sounds amazing clean, really mellow. It does seem like lots of love and care has been placed into this guitar. I mainly play with a Big Muff, and it sounds amazing! Warm, fat and creamy. The amps overdrive sounds great. I use a Supersonic 212, the modern one and it's got quite a Marshall-y crunch going on.

The neck feels great, the rolled fingerboard is just a great touch. All guitars should have this as standard.

I can't get any more pictures in the above post but I thought some of you might like to see the documentation,

It came with a G&G case with scarlet plush and loads of other crap. It came with an envelope with some information in it, you can read it below. It also came with a leather strap, which is a good touch.

Thanks for reading.

Very nice, must sound great clean in your SS. I had the same amp for a while with a Tele, amazing cleans, I loved the bassman channel. I never liked the burn channel much though.

Photo #3 shows the grain a bit...very nice.

It is the exact kind & color Strat I would expect an Imperial Stormtrooper to play*, especially if he were part of the Hoth campaign.

Sweet. Never seen a white strat where you can see the grain. Can it get slashtones?

I do doubt that. I'll try though!

I think it's alright. The Bassman is great, I don't get why overdrive of any kind doesn't work on the vibro channel. They both have their uses though. The burn channel is good for Marshall tones. If you don't like it get a OCD. (might get one.)

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Let me guess: One of the Jedi will have a purple one, and one of the Sith will play a doubleneck.

Yea I wondered why folk are commenting on the case as much as the guitar lol. It is a nice case though.

I normally sell the cases of the guitars I buy, and then when I sell them there's no case so they have to knock a bit off the trade in, but I've already sold it so really I get more. Anyway, the folk in the shop are aware if this and refused to sell me the guitar if I didn't promise to keep the case.

Thanks Greg!

it's only proper to keep a strat in a G&G tweed case.

anything else would be uncivilized.

Rolled necks are just awesome. They should do it as standard, it just seems like a crime now to.
