Another year, another football season.

Mock draft game: https://www.ultimate-guitar.com/forum/showpost.php?p=31102256&postcount=29173

Talk about National Football league here, whether it be the rules of the game, events, player news, transactions, offseason, the game itself, I don't care, talk NFL. Hell, as long as it is non-NFL football related (AFL, CFL, UFL, NCAA, high school) and it doesn't get taken too far off topic, go ahead, as long as it makes it back to NFL talk soon enough (Jackal might insult you for bringing CFL up )

Old thread: https://www.ultimate-guitar.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1526155&page=1480&pp=20

You better stay home,
You better turn off your cellular phone,
Santa Favre is coming to town

He's leaving the game,
He's leaving it twice,
He's coming right back with the Jets and the Vikes
Santa Favre is coming to town

He sees the stunted blitzing,
He has a mean pump fake,
He'll throw it even where he never should,
So you better just buckle up and pray,

You better watch out,
You better stay home,
You better turn off your cellular phone,
Santa Favre is coming to town

Someone give me a good team to follow for the year. Normally I don't closely follow any single team, but for some reason I've got the itch to do it this year. By default I should be a Vikings fan, but **** that.

I like explosive football, doesn't matter if it's defensive or offensive, I just want exciting plays. I was thinking one of the 'read option teams' would be entertaining to follow for a year.

Actually, I think I'm going to go with the Panthers. The NFC South should be pretty interesting this year and the Panthers could be fun to watch.

Explosive = Patriots!

Best offense in the league and a defense that generates the most turnovers.

Saints have an explosive offense, 49ers & Seahawks should be fun to watch too.

An explosive offense that got held to 13 points and generatored 0 turnovers in the biggest game of the season for it.

I'd say take the Saints or 49ers personally. Saints have the most exciting offense in the league now that the offensive maestro of Sean Payton is back, but 49ers have a D that's explosive too to compliment a fleet of playmakers.

Edit: Panthers it is!

Nooooo, no first page! Well, I guess if you guys do 40 count then I am.

Guarantees eh? Hmmmmm. Well, it's gotta be somewhat ballsy or else it's not worth making. I made some ballsy ones in the old thread, but I forget them now. I got one:

Harvin, Lynch, Wilson in 2013-14 is going to be the best QB, WR, RB combo of the decade.

As for this season: Seahawks win the Superbowl. The time is now. They traded away their first rounder. They recognize this too. 1 or 2 key players is all it's going to take, and Harvin is one of them.

Hmmmm, what else. Wilson gets 40+ touchdown passes.

There's so many! I'll think of a better one later. I had some good ones in the last thread, if only I could remember!
58-32 NFL Thread Pick Em.

That'll change the pass rush free agency market dramatically if he is.

Really enjoying this tampering period, it's made the offseason a lot more interesting, a lot faster.

Baltimore Ravens are my #2, if we're allowed multiple teams in the OP.

We are

Speaking of the Ravens, friend of mine threw this theory behind the Boldin trade to me; that was the best offer the Ravens got for Boldin. He's going to be 33 by the time next season is in full swing, and as tough as he is, he can't have many more historic postseason runs left in him. Good as he's been for Baltimore, they needed the cap space, and actually got something out of trading him instead of releasing him and getting nothing.

I don't agree or disagree with this, but it is plausible. What do you guys think?
