What episodes of television shows are your favourite, do you deem a 'best episode'?

X-Files, season 5, an episode called Bad Blood.
It's funny, and it's got vampires, what's not to like?

Futurama, A Clockwork Origin
The episode where robots evolved.

Star Trek Deep Space Nine, season 4, Little Green Men
Quark, Rom and Nog (his brother and nephew) go back to Roswell!
You also get to hear what a Ferengi sounds like in their own language.

Star Trek Voyager, season 6, In the Blink of an Eye.
Voyager discover a planet that's on a different time to the rest of the universe and get caught in it's orbit

King of the Hill, season 5, Yanky Hankie
Hank discovers he was born in New York City.

Tales from the Crypt Keeper, season 7, Cold War
I mostily loved this episode when it aired when I was a kid because it was filmed around Southwark and Elephant & Castle (and that's local to me) and this episode stinks of Britain, even though it's an American show/production company... Also, it's about Zombies Vs. Vampires, I thought that was cool too.

Episodes I really liked of shows that I've watched.

I have a few, but generally I don't have many shows I actively tune in to (except Colbert). I kind of just turn the TV on and leave it on a channel, so I don't exactly have favorite episodes.

Though that one episode of Family Guy where Stewie and Bryan get locked up in the bank is my favorite.

I guess I'll just have to resort to my favorite show as a kid because everything else I kinda just forget after a few months. Either way it's a tie for me.

The Simpsons- You Only Move Twice (it's the one where they move to a new town and Homer works for a evil super villian). Even as a kid I remember laughing my ass off at this episode. Classic Simpsons when they were at the height of their awesomeness

The Simpsons- The Springfield Files (David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson guest star in a episode about aliens, narrated by Leonard Nimoy. So many awesome one liners in this one)

X-Files: Season One- Episode 13: Beyond the Sea
Brad Dourif plays a crazy murderer who can talk to the dead. Or can he?

Futurama: Season 4- Episode 11: Where No Fan Has Gone Before
The Star Trek parody episode

Deep Space Nine: Season 5- Episode 6: Trials and Tribble-ations
The episode where they go back to the tribble episode of the original series

Voyager: Season 4- Episodes 8 & 9: Year of Hell
Weird timelines and shit.

Also, I have to add Next Generation
Season 2- Episode 9: Measure of a Man
Data is on trial.

I can never decide between Hush, Once More With Feeling, or The Body.

Those two are brilliant, plus the one where Homer doesn't go to church.

Classics.

Yes that one is one of the better ones. I always loved how the Simpsons could raise some philosophical questions while still being humorous enough that you could choose to ignore that part and just laugh like a kid if you want. I'm glad I have the first 15 seasons on a portable hard drive, think I might just take a trip down memory lane tonight and revisit those episodes.

office- holiday specials

If by 'holiday specials' you mean 'the Christmas special (2003)' then you have exceedingly good taste.

There are a few episodes of Start Trek TNG that I particularly like, like the one with Picard's flute and the finale, and DS9 has a few gems, such as In the Pale Moonlight.

Those episodes weren't bad. I like most episodes that involve time travel or manipulation.
Trials and Tribulations deserves a mention, but it's a silly episode so I wouldn't call it the best.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer

all of them

I'm watching Buffy at this very moment. The one with the floating fellas who steal voices is definitely the best.

Apart from that (to follow some of the themes given):
Futurama - obviously Jurassic Bark. Or any of the other big emotional ones.
Simpsons - when Homer eats the poison sushi.
Star Trek: Voyager - the one where the ships starts falling apart and they realise that they're copies not the original ship. (according to google "Destination: Oblivion")
Star Trek: TNG - the only one I can call to mind off hand is Measure of a Man. But that is a great one.
