Is there a right or wrong way to prepare tea?

Should you use it through a strainer, or should you have the leaves be in the pot or cup and soak in it until it's potency is produced? Or do you have other ways?

How does the Pit prepare tea?

Do you mean holding a strainer over the cup and running water through it? If so, no. You will never get it strong enough by doing that.

Are you using loose leaves, or do you have tea bags?

First you carefully set the tea down on the counter and then you go buy a cup of coffee.

Normally you want the leaves to sit in the hot water for a few minutes to let the tea steep to a reasonable level.

1. Boil water.
2. Put loose leaf tea in hot water. (Or, if you're lame, use a tea bag.)
3. ???
4. Drink tea.
5. Profit.

Minus the sugar.

Realistically I just put a teabag in a cup add boiling water, then a bit of milk after a bit then take the teabag out. Or one of my colleagues makes it for me at work.

Why? If it looks a bit too milky, you just leave the bag in a bit longer. I do like a good cuppa from a teapot n all, but its just not a viable option at work, where I consume 2/3 of my daily tea.

i don't know it's just wrong lol

and if you had true tea making skills you'd know how much milk is just right

The right amount of milk is no milk. Lemon juice instead. Milk is for baby cows. And the tea should be of the green variety.

Or save yourself the time and hipster credits and just buy green tea with lemon.

Depends on what kind of tea you're making. Different teas require different techniques.

If you want to eat processed lemon flavor and not actually lemon juice, then yeah, do this.

I don't really mind, to be honest. So long as it is reasonably strong and has no milk, I'm happy. Either tea bags or teapot. I normally have tea bags because they're quicker, but I think leaf tea is slightly nicer.

1. Boil water

2. place proper combination of leaves in a teaball

3. Steep

4. Drink

It's that simple
I can never think of a good sig.

1) Boil water
2) Insert tea bag(s); let steep
3) Remove bag(s), pour into pitcher, glass, or cup
4) Add sugar, ice, lemon to preference (or milk if you're a ******)

I've never had tea cause for some reason I'm afraid it will taste bad.

Like a watered down drink
#34
This completely depends on the type of tea. There's no one right way to prepare tea although different types have ideal brewing conditions.

Unless you're preparing tea from a tea bag in which case just boil some water, throw in the bag, wait five minutes, take it out and drink that awful swill.

Boil some water.
Put a tea bag in cup.
Milk optional.
Put water in cup.
Stir.
Take tea bag out.
