Hey I'm going for a brutal death metal song but I want to make sure my tone sounds correct before continuing with recording! Also don't mind the drums so much, I know they suck right now! I just used them for a metronome more or less.

I personally like 3 the most but my ears aren't your ears!

Then what does it matter?

Your ears are the ones that matter in the world of audio production.

That may be true but if more people were to tell me that 2 were better than 3 I would take that into consideration which is why I asked in the first place.

Honestly they all sound kinda fuzzy and thin (needs moar bass guitar). But I think that kinda music you're trying to make kinda relies on "interesting" tone choices right?

That may be right but I don't want it to sound like sheet. I'll try and reduce the fuzz and add more bass and see if it helps.

Bass as in bass guitar.

Just turning up the bass on your guitar eq will make the bottom end sound horrible and flabby. If you don't have a bass then I'd consider getting a cheap one if you're serious about recording a good sounding album.

I meant more bass as in turn it up (the guitar section), I had it but it was probably really hard to hear. I'm still a noob at this if it wasn't obvious yet :x
