So I contacted Digitech today asking them about the successor of rp1000 and/or the gsp rack, and they replied that new RP units are coming soon but they arent the successor of rp1000 or the gsp.
So what do you think guys? will it be like a a totally new unit or a successor for the smaller ones?

Boo! Bad Digitech.

I really wish they'd just invent a generic foot board/pedal that you can simply buy & download upgrades for. Would make more sense, but I suppose they only really care about sales.

Rp series is not related to the icrap that's why I'm exites about it, I hated the dependency on other hardware...

Sounds like they are saying they are putting out new RP except for the RP1000/rack system, those will probably be unchanged.

Atleast thats how I read it

did they put out the rp500 before the rp1000?

Yeah.

I'm guessing it's going to be some lower end RP stuff. Then they might release a new flagship unit in a few more years after that.

So guys I emailed Fender and they said they would be making more Strats!

This email doesn't really confirm or deny anything? Or am I missing something?

yes you are missing something, the coming soon part and what to expect, see usually they dont give any indication of time to when the new units are released, not just digitech, all the Mfx makers, and the email also showed not to expect flagship models anytime soon, so for those waiting for a flagship model they better look elsewhere at the moment.

Let's hope at least for a rp500 successor, not even lower models.
