It's a late 1960s Lectrolab R700 combo. It still works and everything, but the standby/on light is no longer working. It's this red, diamond like looking light on my amp. I'm sure most of you know what I'm talking about since a lot of amps have it. Anyway, is there a way to replace it?

Also, I don't mean to change subjects or anything, but I don't want to make another topic for a small question - I'm gonna get an EQ pedal soon, should I go for an mxr 6band or boss ge-7? Which is quieter and sucks less tone? It's mostly gonna be used for mid-boosts.

thanks

Take off jewel cover, remove bulb, buy new bulb, put bulb in socket, put jewel cover back on.

Seriously, I'm not a fan of iphones and guitars mixing.

So, you're after a fancy tone control pedal and want to know which one "sucks less tone"?

if you can afford thr MXR 10 band get that, if not the Boss and MXR 6-band will both work just fine. If you go used you can get some good deals, I bought an old DOD 7 band EQ for $25 from www.guitarcenter.com/used and it works as well as any others.

EQ pedals are supposed to suck tone - when the sliders are set below zero. They also add tone when above zero. Whether they suck tone when set at zero is a different story. An EQ flat lined at zero is a waste unless you are using one with a volume or gain slider for boosting - but that is a waste too.
