So my town ranks top happiest place to live in the UK.

Croydon? 2nd worst.

Come to me, my children, and bask in my property themed happiness index.

If anyone else wants to lord it over Trebor, look up your area here

I've been to Stockport many times and I can confirm that this list is complete tosh.

Apart from the bit about London being a sweatbox hellhole. That bit is bang on.
#12
Croydon will be better once all the minorities move out, assuming they're all like Trebor that is.

Seriously wtf Stockport?

Manchester 83/110, now this I believe.
Huddersfield 66. Meh, it's nicer than that.

best part of London at least.

Those places on the happy list are pretty dull though...
O.K.

Good Ol' Suffolk superiority ranking third right there.

How the skuttering **** did that happen?

I have no idea how it happened, but apparently people can look past the stabbings, numerous drunk hobos and general grimy-ness

Be skeptical, they forgot to put America on that list.

Bath have a terrible football team. Reason enough to stay away.

****. Just after I didn't send an application form to Exeter, they appear to be the 4th happiest place.

I can't believe you are whoring yourself out like that.

You had a chance to move to Exeter and didn't take it

lol

Where have you actually applied?

Amsterdam and Frankfurt. Exeter had some bad reviews, high costs, and seemed to be a terrible hassle to move to.

Frankfurt > England
Eintracht Frankfurt > Exeter City or whatever they are called

Oh okay it seems more sensible when you put it like that. I thought you chose somewhere else in England over it.

It does very much look like these people just use 'UK', 'Britain', and 'England' all interchangeably.

Well I'm glad we can all agree London is a shithole.

That's why they're so happy! No muggings or murders. Just bland contentment.

I went from one of the happiest places to one of the unhappiest places

Might explain why this year has been fairly shit for me so far.

EDIT: However, the Guardian is a fairly middle class paper, and a majority of the places on the happy list are retirement spots filled with OAPs who don't have to do anything.

The Rotunda is alright, but on a summer's day, the riverside is where it's at. Even though the Thames is disgusting.
WHOMP

Think of that next time you are not allowed to laugh.

I'm clinging onto Harrogate being the happiest place, seeing as it's like 20 miles away.

I live in number 2. I know 5, 6 and 10 in the unhappy list and... In the happy list, I've been to 3, once (Ipswich) and I find myself in 9 from time to time (Bromley).

Bromley.

Stockport is 2nd? I've been to Stockport, and dilapidated is too kind a word.

I went for a few days for work. Went out for a run, got lost, and was pretty certain I was going to get stabbed. Even the greasy spoon I went to the next morning was called Hell's Kitchen.
#38
Croydon rocks and is like home to me, so if it's rough and tough or whatever, so am I.

Croydonknights are cool.

All the unhappy places are in London

EDIT: Apart from 9.

A work colleague of mine is Croydon born and raised. He took drama at uni and loves Les Miserables and Crystal Palace.

It does not look good for Croydon.
