FDR should have been strangled as a baby.

We should have let Patton go into Moscow...and followed him there.

We should have carpet bombed Hanoi until no two stones we left standing one on another.

We should have used a conventional bunker buster on Saddam at the appropriate time and called it a day.

Japan should have been the 49th state, Alaska and Hawaii 50 and 51.

That's a start, at least.

So not Chattel Slavery then; just that ye didn't bomb quite enough places.

Slavery had already been mentioned, I chose not to be redundant.

I think you're oversimplifying though. Only one of my items actually called for more bombing...and to compensate one called for far less.

I'm not much for history, but if I had to guess for the US:

General native american treatment.
Japanese internment.
9/11

The one thats made me the most sad is probably Sandy Hook shooting.

Letting Italy have the Trieste region.
Pretty much 80% of people that live there are Slovene or at least have Slovene herritage so I call bull on Trieste being Italian...and if you look at the map it doesn't make sense either.

That would be Britain IMO, not Canada, but I can see your point.

More of a tragedy how they were treated once settlement occurred.

Considering the deaths/wounded and overall suffering involved, the US civil war, Vietnam, WWI and WWII, each far outweigh the tragedies of the last 2 on your list.

The aboriginals lived on what is now considered Canadian soil, and "Canadians" legally were British subjects until the Canadian Citizenship Act, 1946, which took effect Jan. 1, 1947, so I consider this a "Canadian" tragedy. Also, be aware that it was the French who initially colonized Canada before the British did (re: New France, and Jacques Cartier and Samuel de Champlain etc.)

For Canada I'd say the entire history with the Indigenous people here. First the land thing then the assimilation and the residential school shit. Other things come to mind like the internment camps during the World Wars or the building of the CPR railway or letting the Jets move to Phoenix..

I'm also from Greek descent so I wanna bring up the Greek genocide during the first World War at the hands of the Turks. The Armenians got it pretty bad too.
