Morrissey.

Actually no, that'd be terrible.

Is there a Freddy Mercury one?

I've seen Lennon's and Ian Curtis'.

Mercury has one in development.

I think a Dave Mustaine biopic would be interesting, but I think they covered most of that on the Megadeth VH1 special a few years ago.

A biopic on Devin Townsend would be pretty cool. That guy's life/career is pretty odd and interesting to say the least. Same goes for Steve Vai too.

This is terrible advice. Even worse than the useless dry, sarcastic comment I made.

Scott Lucas (the man is a fucking badass)
Elliott Smith deserves a decent one that isn't just about his murd... oh *cough cough* I mean "suicide", sorry.
Rory Gallagher

Though I will say I prefer old footage+friends and family interview type documentaries more than biopic style ones. Ex. Hype, the TAD doc, We Jam Econo type stuff.

uuuggghhhhhh, that movie was difficult to watch. Maybe I just wasn't in the right mood, but two hours of black and white depression is a hard pill to swallow, no matter how much I do love Joy Division. I almost was cheering for him to kill himself by the end of it.

Does that count as a spoiler? **** it, whatever. 24 Hour Party People is a much more fun movie although its about a record label, not one person.

I second Captain Beefheart if it doesn't already exist. That dude was nuts.

I'd love to see some other outsider musicians portrayed like Gary Wilson or Wesley Willis.

Jello needs a biopic or at least a really good DK doc.
Josh's would be a great subject and even though I am not a huge NIN fan I would go see it just because Trent's life and thought process is so interesting.

Oh hellz yeah GG Allin.

That dude's outlook on life was actually absolutely fascinating.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u2LvZd_9aMU

He almost hates everyone so much out of this expression of love via trial by fire.
"If you get raped at my show, you're probably better off for it."

I'm not saying I agree with him, but like I said, absolutely fascinating.
