First, I'm chilean, so i don't speak english very well.

I've an Ibanez TBX15. It was a metal fanboy decision, and I regret that.
I'm looking for a sound between prog-rock, art-rock and post-rock.

Some band reference? In priority order:
Tool, Porcupine Tree, Opeth, Rishloo, Karnivool, Anathema, Pain of Salvation, God is an Astronaut, Pink Floyd, Gazpacho, Oceansize, Buckethead (?), etc.

Budget?
No more than US$1000 or CLP$500.000

Watts?
For home and some gigs. 50w or more. I prefer a Head and a Cabinet.

Solid, Hybrid or Tubes?
Hybrid or Tubes.

Effects?
Don't need them in amp, but i have a Delay, a Wah-Wah and a Flanger pedal.

Your Country?
I'm Chilean, but i can buy from eBay if the price is low.

Current Gear?
Ibanez Grg270 (another metal fanboy decision), but i'll buy a PRS soon.

I was looking for a Marshall AVT150HX, but they're endangered, even in eBay. I looked a MA100 too, but all people say that they're ''MG with tubes''. I know marshall isn't only amp brand, but here in Chile it isn't like US or UK
If you can help giving me some options, please, I really will be grateful.

Can you get Peavey amps used or new in your area?

I use a Marshall JCM2000 DSL100, they are $500-$700 used hear in the USA (I don't know what they run used in your area)

Along the lines of what robb suggested, are you also able to get your hands on any Laney amps? Similar voice to the Marshall, maybe cheaper. I know Opeth use Laney heads.

The Laney gh50l is the best for what you want out of those.

The laney Gh50 is basically a Hotrod marshall JCM 800 type of circut with more gain avalable if you want/need it.

I just read some reviews about laney and i like it... but it has good clean tone?

The Laney GH has a diecent clean tone, but it is only a 1 ch amplifier. So having a good clean and a good gain sound is going to involve using your guitar volume knob. The Laney VH100r is basically a 2 channel GH amp.

Do you have any used amps avalable to you? They are a much better value.

Carvin V3 might be an option (about $800), couple that with used Marshall 1960 cab ($400) or other cab of your choice. Peavey JSX also another great option but they're discontinued so you have to look at used.

Carvin V3 is good, I like it, but it cost about US$1430
There is one Peavey Jsx 120w... cost about US$1560

Best option so far is Laney.

If you go used I know the JSX can be had for less than $800 USD, probably the same as well for the V3. Just check out Guitar Center used.

Go here and search for diffrent amps and see what they cost used.
www.guitarcenter.com/used

they have Peavey JSX heads for $599
Marshall JCM2000 DSL heads for $500+
Laney GH 50/100l head for $500+
There is a Peavey ultra+ head for $450
Krank heads for $599+

when you look at the prices, $300 for shipping is a great deal when it would cost $1500+ in your country

There is also a 50 watt version of the V3, $599 brand new:
http://www.carvinguitars.com/guitaramps/

Another option which I forgot might be the Egnater Tweaker. Might need overdrive for the more aggressive metal passages though but lots of tonal options in one place:

I never liked the V3 at all, full sized or mini all had a horrible fizz/fuzz to the distortion. It is deff a try before you buy type amp, only it is almost impossible to try first
