I'm thinking of a different approach to metal and Dubstep. I want to meld the two together. What would be a good software to use to create and play a backing track to a guitar and vocals. I've been looking at Fruity Loops and Native Instruments. I'm I on the right track? Help me out brothers.

I can rec you great software but it won't work unless you delete system32.exe from your computer.

So once you've done that, I'll send you a rec.

Also, run a magnet over your hard drive just in case.

*disclaimer*

the above is a joke.

Melding two genres together doesn't make a new type of music. Just like mixing two colours together don't make a new colour.

Try and learn how to use Ableton Live.

I found Fruity Loops to accommodate for complete newbies.

Really?!
You need to go back to kindergarden if you honestly believe that.

So, take blue and yellow, mix them and you get green; green isn't a new color that was just made?

This statement is bad, and you should feel bad.

OT:
How about this, TS? You forget this idea entirely, and I don't tell you fucking stupid of an idea it is.

It's been done. And done. And done. It's very easy to do badly. I wouldn't recommend it. YouTube is your friend, there's like fifty million "Skrillex wobble" tutorials, none of which are probably what he really uses, but nobody will give two shits about the difference in sound anyway as long as it sounds like [type of machine] and [type of machine] making baby [type of machine]s. Any software will work.
TL;DR: Google it and figure it out yourself.

N3z-3, who's an online associate, already does this, he plays heavy riffs in a lot of his dubstep and chipstep tracks.

Yeah FL is the best DAW overall imo, it's just user friendly, and the cleanest looking.
Native instruments komplete 8 is pretty good, it's some of the only legit software I've purchased. Massive's rediculously powerful, but it's presets are lacking, and disorganized, so you'll have to learn synth programming, at least I'd recommend it.

^there's one of N3z-3's songs with guitar, actually it's a remix of a song I wrote. Guitar comes in little after 1 min. He uses Massive for most of his synth stuff.
