I was searching the local kijiji toady and came across a guy selling a NOS 1970's El Degas 680 (double cutaway) for $225; it still has its original tags!!

What i know:

MIJ at the Fuijen factory
Has Dimarzios

I've never heard of these guitars before so I started to do a little research and it's got me confused now

Some reviews I found say they're a crappy cheap brand, while others say that they compare to the Gibsons and Fenders of the time? Some say its worth about $200, others say its worth more like $1200

Which is it? Does anyone here know anything about the guitar? I think I'm going to go try it out, but I'd like a little input first.

Cheers!
