For the past week, Itunes has deleted all my music 5 times, does anyone have any idea as to why and how I can prevent this from happening?

atleast you can open it, i went to install the update since it was spamming me about an update constantly.

well, it didnt install correctly, and the installer didnt work properly, the status bar never moved. Now when i open it, it appears in the taskbar, but the window never opens, and i cant close it from the taskbar. I have to use the task manager to close it.

Redownloaded the installer from apple.com, same bullshit happened.

I'm pretty sure Spotify streams at 128kbps, pretty shitty on my studio monitors.

...modes and scales are still useless.

Spotify took away the 5 track max play limit the other day.

And the sound quality is as good as a CD.

in all honesty. You're lucky that apple haven't sown your mouth to the butthole of another itunes user. I hear they've been doing that alot lately
#14
I agree with all the joke answers.

However also I imagine it's something to do with its sync settings. Do you have an ipod too or anything?
I know itunes has a habit of wiping music if it's not on the profile its syncing against.
(for example, if you have a blank ipod and it is syncing to that profile, then it will delete everything)

It's 160kbps ogg vorbis, which is not the same thing as 160kbps mp3.

Premium offers 320kbps, but I don't use it because I can't really hear a difference and my internet isn't fast enough anyway.

It's not. They may say it is but it sounds pretty bad next to a CD.

Also, if the iTunes library is empty and you try to sync, it deletes everything from your iPod.

I use a free program called SharePod to get all the files from my iPod to my PC at times (and then usually back up all those files on an eternal hard drive). Because if you put CDs on your iPod or upload stuff from bandcamp onto your iPod, then iTunes may not always recognize those files.

You probably don't have "manually manage songs and videos" checked under your ipod settings. Try that. If that doesn't work, then what you really need is a new winamp.

I've always used CD's and will continue till they're impossible to get hold of.

And you must have amazing hearing if you think a CD is any different in sound quality to Spotify, if there is any difference at all its minimal.

Listen to it on a hifi system....the different is pretty apparent. Through cheap headphones or speakers and even some mid range stuff I'll admit I can't tell a different. With an apogee duet and a set of focals it screams at you.

Edit: I don't know why I quote you. Accident I guess. I agree with you.
