Discuss songs you want to cover.

I want to take Achey Breaky Heart and add it into my solo but, no real covers planned for now, though Thunder Kiss '65 is a project of mine I wouldn't mind starting up again. I guess Thunder Kiss '65 by White Zombie is something I want to cover.

This, but, if I was to sit down and think about it, an old idea of mine came because for a week once I started playing Thunder Kiss 65' but, for whatever reason, didn't keep it up.
TBH, when I made the OP, I had no idea how it would end.

The Tao Te Ching says, "give yourself goals, never finish; have no goals, no work is ever undone."

Or some shit like that. It's a great quote, really.

Anywho, as for what I would cover... "Gravity" by John Mayer. It's a shame that so many people sweat that song because I feel like I've known about it since before the album was even released.

I would also want to cover this (skip to 0:22 for the music):

I want to cover some PtH, but there's no middle ground between Blindfolds Aside and something like Tandem and Sequoia Throne :\

Yea there is

Most of Kezia is pretty doable outside of a handful of sections. Turn Soonest, Blindfolds, Heretics, The Divine Suicide, and Bury the Hatchet aren't too bad.

Heretics would actually be an excellent one to cover. Good call. Only thing is, I'd have to transpose it to D standard tuning myself (you don't retune a FR guitar in 10minutes after all), so I'd probably stick with songs in E standard tuning or D standard tuning.

I really need to get a 2nd electric, one that I'd tune in Cstandard or something, so I could just play all the songs in C standard tuning or C# standard tuning or drop tunings or whatever. You tune to C standard, and you can pretty much play anything. Only thing you'd have to do is transpose songs normally played on a 7 string for to a 6 string...

Blindfolds wasn't too bad for me, the middle sections caught me out a bit and I needed to go over them.

But thanks for the suggestions. Which song would you say would be the next step up though?

**** it, I'll give Heretics a go tomorrow. It looks okay from what's on Youtube

my friend and i have been trying buckethead songs lately at little gigs. we play peppers ghost and bucketheadland. but i want to cover btbam. iv got all of specular reflection down perfectly, iv known it for a while. i also wana cover the end to swin to the moon. the pretty c, e ext chords then the jam solo then the solo solo ext. but he cant play them on drums. i dont blame him, blake is beast but it sucks we cant cover them.
