Hey guys, so I've got my egnater renegade that I am currently running through an orange 212. The set up is just a little to soft and "loose" sounding for my liking, even with the tight switch on. I really like a much bolder, tighter sound when comes to overdrive. Can anyone recommend me some 412's to check out or a pedal that can help tighten things up a bit more?

I'm really into tones like these:

Get an eq pedal, and cut the lows a bit. If you have a tone of flub, a bass eq may be better to dial it out

Digitech Bad Monkey $50

And EQ pedals are awesome tools.

Next I'd get some JJ's in the preamp.

Then worry about cabs.

If your Orange 212 is a closed back, as I'm sure it is, then a 4x12 may actually give you a looser tone. Try some of these other things first and also try setting your 212 up on a table.
