But I looked and couldn't find it. And I did an advanced search and still couldn't find it.

There was a thread stickied in here at one time that had a bunch of links to drum programming software, some of which was free. I'm just looking for something I can legally download and write some (decent) sounding drum tracks on. Just for demos. Any one have any idea where that thread went? Or have any suggestions for programs that would help me with what I need?

For writing drums? I write them in Hydrogen, and now I'm using ReaSamplOMatic5000 and Erkan's Organised Samples (look them up, it's an organised pack of free samples from the Ultimate Metal forums) to get the sound itself.
