I've been playing for almost a year and a half now, and I can't stil finish a complete solo without mistakes. Is this normal or is there something wrong with my playing?

It might be normal, it might not, have you practiced these solos enough? Do you know what "enough" is?

I practice with mistakes. How long does it take one to play without mistakes?

How long is a piece of string?

Everyone learns at a different rate, how much dedication/focus do you put into it? What kinda solo is it? Is it a technique issue or a mental issue? Perhaps a bit of both.

It really is a "how long is a piece of string" kind of question. For playing an instrument 1.5 years isn't very long, most players don't get very far within that time.

You need to practice without mistakes to begin with. If that means you need to slow down to the point where you're playing one note every five seconds then so be it.

since everyone here lost focus I will get us back on track. A piece of string is generally 3 feet in length, but can be shorter or longer depending on need.

Practice with the intention of never making a mistake. Don't get lazy and let that mistake slide by. If you mess up, slow down the piece and start over. It's a really bad habit that most people make, including myself. I still do it, but I'm trying my hardest not too. It'll be worth it in the long run.
