Hey FunkyMonkey1231, a couple of pointers here

First off, I notice that you're trying to hard to "make the voice sound good", it may seem counterproductive, but just let the voice be what it is, don't try too hard to modify your voice, just let your voice be your voice.

Secondly, You have a habit of trying to close off vowels to the consonant too quickly, sing through the vowel

Thirdly, keep a steady stream of air going under your voice at all times, it will get rid of the choppiness, as well as hopefully get rid of the straight toning.

Thanks for the advice man! It really helped me out. I have a more recent recording on another thread here... I think there has been a big improvement already.
