I recently got a Mexican Strat in a trade. The thing looks brand new except that the low E end of the nut has chipped off and I want to buy a replacement that will require as little tweaking as possible. Are all Mexican Strat nuts the same dimensions? If they aren't, what do I need to know or measure to narrow the choices down? Anyone here know?

Thanks!

Remove V1 & V6. Put the 12AX7 from V1 into V6 and leave V1 empty. Try the vibrato channel.

for the most part yes, my advice is to buy and if it doesnt work its not really a big deal since their only a couple bucks

most guitar tech's should have it replaced in a few minutes to be honest, i'd buy it then take it straight to a tech to sort, should cost you probably no more than 10-20 of your wonderful dollars and take no more than a few hours to fit (depending on the busy-ness of said tech)
Belief is a beautiful armour but makes for the heaviest sword.

Thanks for the info! Turns out that a local guy has a couple of them.
