Hi guys,

I am trying to do a cover of the song "The sound of Truth" by As I Lay Dying.
I've got the whole song down except for the main riff -.-

Here are the tabs: (open is palm muted)

I can't really get it to sound right. I always seem to end up just doing one open string and using only downstrokes.

Any help is much appreciated

I would do all down strokes and hammer on the 7h10 & 9h12. Not really anything else I can suggest to do.

Strict alternate picking is always a good choice, but I would play every note on the G string with a downstroke except for hammer-ons when there are two notes like 7h10. The on the D string I would pick the 00 every time like up-down making the whole pattern a bit more economic.

I neeed to practice my economy picking it seems, i've always sucked at it but it seems the way to go!
