I've been playing with the idea of using my acoustic-electric with my amp. I know that acoustic guitar amps are made for amplifying acoustic guitars. But would it harm the amp or speakers to play an acoustic guitar or a resonator guitar if the amp was built for standard electric guitars.

This question is for electric amps in general, though the amp i'm using is my Vox Valvetronix Ad100VT-XL.

You might have better luck asking in the Acoustic forum.

I don't know for sure, but I would imagine no harm would be done either way.
