Hey guys, this is my first go in a while so thought I'd upload it and get some opinions. This is something I came up with at home when I plugged in my 85 strat that I barely play anymore while thinking about my gf and just life in general. All guitars recorded with my strat straight into my computer running Reaper, bass and drums with MIDI. Song is in my profile, hope you enjoy it.

You got some nice lead lines, but I think the background chords and bass could use some work. This kind of just sounds like you're jamming over some stuff, doing improv solo things instead of playing an actual song. Leads are nice though, sounds almost depressing but has a somewhat uplifting quality to them if that makes sense. The tapping part near the end was a tad odd, just didn't fit in.

Hi there, just listened to your track. I have to agree with Joshua, both the chords and the solo guitar sounded a tad under-thought and it is almost like you just got together with no pre-made parts and just improved chords and a lead. It doesn't sound bad, don't get me wrong, the chords themselves just dont really lend a lot to the song, you just kind of go up the scale of chords. That being said, and I am not bashing your track by any means, it does sound pretty good for what it is, I just think some more thought in the chords themselves would offer a less cliche sound. I have an acoustic band called Valley Haze, check us out! https://www.ultimate-guitar.com/forum/showthread.php?p=31289010#post31289010
