Quick question:

What's going to be the tonal effect of me plugging a 9V power supply into a 12v pedal, for example my TC Electronic Nova Repeater? Is it a massive effect or not really noticeable?

Probably not the safest thing to do. Might cut out some of what the pedal does. Also might fry the circuit due to lack of voltage. Its 12v for a reason I would assume

it'll be underpowered and not work.
Belief is a beautiful armour but makes for the heaviest sword.

And what about models like:

TC Nova Repeater, which says it can take 9-12V
Fulltone OCD, which says it can take 9-18V

?

Only speaking from the blurb on a sales page I saw the other day, but apparently using an 18v supply with an OCD gives it more headroom and a better range of tones.
