In my opinion he gave the best performance of all the great artists at Woodstock. I don't think anyone has ever improvised a more beautiful and powerful song than "Freedom".

Richie Havens played his guitar so damn hard,it was almost punk. Check out Handsome Johnny. Could easily be a punk song.
