Hey guys

as the title says

What strings use Anti-Rust plain strings (Besides Elixir) ?

generally wounds strings dont wear out quick, but my fingers are so acidic that i can turn a set of EB slinky plains black in one sitting with the guitar

so just wondering what other strings use anti rust plain strings.

I like the elixirs, they last forever, but just hate the slippery feeling the strings give until they worn in. and with calloused fingers its even more slippery (i stopped playing for a while and restarted)

thanks for the time and help

Ernie Ball has the Slinky RPS series, I don't know if they are coated or just treated.

"Ernie Ball Coated Slinky Strings combine the latest technological advancements in string manufacturing. All wound strings are treated with groundbreaking nanotechnology that repels unwanted moisture and oils that negatively impact your tone. In addition to treating the wound strings, each plain string features a patented reinforcement winding of titanium wire."

that is directly from EB site...

unless titanium prohibits corrosion or is better at keeping it away for a while, i might give it a go.

but its still untreated

and its not cheap to try strings either... $20 a set of elixirs, with normal daddarios being $9

south african prices...

hmm thats a good options, and see they feel more normal...

now only issue is finding them in South Africa...

EDIT: just to add here, been searching and it seems DR Dragonskins coats all strings... so there are 3 options. ive only seen dragon skins for acoustic here, so maybe they can get me for electrics too!

I'm diggin the EB cobalts quite a lot, they seem to take a lot more abuse & generally last much longer than the older lineup from EB.
