Hi, Soon I'm getting a Laney Ironheart 60W tube head, but I just realised it doesn't have a headphone out, which isn't extremely important for me but I use headphones often. So how can I play with headphones? Can I just plug it in where the cab goes? Or can I send the signal out to a PA first instead of a cab then to headphones?

Don't plug anything into the speaker (cab) output that isn't a proper speaker, you're going to blow something up. Does the amp have a "Line out" on it?

No line out. 2 jack sockets - 4, 8 or 16 Ohms

Then you can't use it with headphones.

To be honest even a line out can't be used for headphones, but you could have run it to a PA/Computer/Mixer and plugged headphones into those. But then again unless it was a speaker emulated line out it would have sounded absolutely terrible, you'd have still needed to run it through a speaker sim for it to sound decent.

The only option available to you is to use an attenuator, some of them have line outs/headphone outs but isn't a realistic option due how expensive they are.
