hi my brothers

i have cut my Options to 1 of the 4. but know i need ur help.

Peavey Classic 30 Combo

Fender Hot Rod DeVille 212 III

Fender Blues Junior

Fender Hot Rod Deluxe III

i'm using a epiphone lennon casino (p-90 pickup) and i'm playing blues, soft rock(bob dylan, oasis, .....)

what to choose? wich one of them have a nice reverb sound?

thanks u all

could you give us a little more information?

the amps are quite different and are in somewhat different price brackets. i know you stated reverb, is that something to sacrifice for something better?

all i can say for sure is to scratch the hot rod deluxe the cleans aren't bad, but if you want any dirt, the OD channel is worthless.

thanks...

if i will check other options i will go lost...

what do u mean OD channel?

If cleans are more important, the Hot Rod Deluxe or the Deville. If you want a good overdrive without a pedal too, the Classic 30. I personally prefer the Classic 30 for both, but Fender cleans are their own thing.

i am not saying you need other options, you found fine amps, its just that they are very different from each other. and i was just curious what turned you onto those specific amps.

OD=over drive (distortion)

if i had to chose an amp from your list for more blues/rockish i would likely go with the classic 30, but, there is also the peavey delta blues, you can get them with 1 15" speaker and they have nice tube tremolo (reverb too IIRC), they are very underrated IMO.

do you plan on using pedals with it?
what are your volume restrictions?
are you looking for pristene cleans (think fender twin reverb), broken up cleans think of a tube amp that is driven enough to cause mild distortion in the cleans.

an egnater rebel may be a good option. i have owned a few egnaters, and for the money they are pretty nice.

these are awesome. i would own one if i didn't have some of the amps i already own. some aren't a huge fan, but fender nice cleans and a higher gain channel that isn't bad. kind of best of both worlds.

have you heard a vox ac15 or ac30? they are also great amps.

as i have kind of dabbled on about other amps just in case you missed them, or haven't come across one before, but i would go with the classic 30 from your list.

Buy a Timmy and put it in front of your AC30. You've got the right amp already, you just need a nice overdrive pedal to go with it.
A Bad Monkey would be all you need really and they're like under $50. So instead of a $50 pedal you're going to buy a new amp? Really?

If you can't get good overdrive from a vox ac30 something is wrong. Try a retube and/or speaker swap to something like a celestion greenback or blueback

P.S JJ tubes are probably the best apart from NOS of course

Have you considered the Fender Blues Deluxe or Champ? They are, in my opinion, better than the Hotrod series. The cleans are much fuller and warmer, though you will need to buy a dirt pedal.

The Classic 30 is almost a direct clone of the AC30, if my memory serves me.

Don't get another, redundancy like mad!

I'm a Heavy Metal ret@rd and cannot appreciate any of those amps. I also think that the Cleans on my Mesa Royal Atlantic are really good

Got no time for cleans when I can go CHUCKA-CHUK all day long

What do you mean that the AC30 has no overdrive? It may not be labelled "Gain" but a Gain knob is the same thing as a channel knob. Methinks that rather than buy another amp you should learn how to drive what you already have.

AC30 should do it unless you want metal. You never told us what type if sound you are looking for. We don't know a budget. We don't know what is available to you. This is a failure of a thread.
I'm just a kickin' and a gougin' in the mud and the blood and the beer.

there is no overdrive in the vox ac30c2-bl ...a sad thing!

Try to cranck it up and then you'll see if there is overdrive.

that sounds like fuzz to my ears. just get a vintage-style fuzz pedal, like a fuzz face (or clone) or something like that.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.
