I have been playing guitar for about 3 1/2 years now and I want to expand my capabilities. What are some good techniques to learn? I am starting to finally be able to play barre chords. Any tips for switching into barre chords from normal chords?

Also what are some good acoustic songs to learn that are moderately challenging?

if you're starting now to play barre chords, was the reason you weren't already playing them that your strings were hard to press or are you just getting around to them now?

if you play, play, play, you'll get to know the chords, including the barre chords, well, your hands will strengthen, and you'll be able to switch back and forth with ease. unless your action is too high, which is why i asked what i did above.

I just looked in my Oxford English Dictionary and under "Acoustic Guitar", there was your Avatar and an email address!
