Hi, I just recently purchased a PRS semi-hollowbody. I noticed that the pickups in it are actually some stock humbuckers from a different guitar. So I was thinking of putting some new pick-ups in it, maybe some Seymour Duncan 59s. My only issue is that I think the 59s may be a little too gritty for me. I play more of a clean blues funk. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks, Jamie.

What's your amp? What do you find lacking about the pickups in the guitar right now?

I've read that Alnico IIs are good in semihollows. I would put in a pair of SD Alnico II Pros, maybe a Pearly Gates in the bridge.

I suppose the factory humbuckers are alright, I just dont think it does the guitar justice. It's kind of lacking some balls. I would like to get a bright creamy tone, something I can lay some funk down with.
