On the come up we were listening to Grateful Dead and the music started passing through my bowel and out my arsehole as this violet stream of light. I shat music. It was beautiful.

Know both English and Spanish and currently learning French. Would like Italian and Portuguese after, but that's a lot of work.
My signature lacks content. It is, however, blue.

I'd like to learn German and French. I'm not really interested in learning Cantonese even if half of my family knows it.

I know Spanish pretty dece (though I've lost a bit in recent years) and I'm beginning to learn Russian.
The highlight of my Spanish learning was spending a month with a family in Spain (Alicante, to be precise) and attending the university of Alicante for Spanish during that time. It was amazing. I was 17, and the experience probably changed my life.
My God, it's full of stars!

Apart from English, I'm pretty decent at Spanish & know very basic German. I can understand a certain dialect of Tamil and know bits of related languages, as well as Malay and Mandarin.

I learned French when I was really young but I've forgotten it all. I used to think it didn't sound very nice but now I realize that it does sound nice and I want to relearn it.

I'd like to learn a lot of languages.

I currently study latin, and I would like to become fluent. It's fairly straightforward grammatically.

Because it is, I assume, a dead language?

If it were dead no one would speak it or me learn it. There are millions of people who speak it probably.

It's a very lovely language though to hear.

Well yeah, academically. Not really how a dead language works, though.

German is pretty good, but probably the hardest for me. English is super easy. Not sure whether I like Portuguese or Spanish better.

I've been thinking about learning a Scandinavian language, but then again, I don't see the point! When will I use it?

I've also been thinking about Catalan. It's pretty close to Spanish and French, and I've got Spanish down and I did a few years of French in high school. If I wanna live in Spain, Catalan can only be helpful.

Catalan would be awesome. Do you know any good resources for learning it?

I heard on amazon they got good books. Also, there's a website from the catalan government that teaches Catalan on the internet but I'm not sure if you gotta pay for it.

It's actually tough getting Catalan material compared to Castillan.

I'm nearly fluent in Italian.
I can understand Sicilian.
I'm slowly learning Russian from one of my comrades.

Well yeah, castellano usually just means the proper (Spain) Spanish language. Much larger than Catalan.

I read somewhere that 500 million people speak Castellano, whereas Catalan it's only 3 million.

The answer to that question is "personal reasons" and I'll leave it at that
