I use a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe with a G12-65 speaker. My guitar tone is your typical blues/rock sound (John Mayer/Hendrix/SRV) where I have a super clean sound and use a tube screamer for distortion. I want to replace the tubes in my amp but I'm unsure of which ones I should get to better suit my tone. Which power and pre tubes are better for the kind of sound I want?

does the amp come with a 12ax7 in v1? i would highly suggest a 5751. actually i think SRV only used 5751s.

12at7 in the last spot seems to add clarity and clean up a tab as well .

Of course though, if money is no issue the answer is always Telefunken.
