Anyone know what it means if a tube amp starts sounding static after a while? Because i have a Line 6 spider valve MKI and i was playing it a while, and it started sounding static like.

TS, you might need new tubes. I recommend JJ. I would say that there is a good chance your 12AX7 tubes have gone bad. How long have you had the amp? A full retube couldn't hurt..
I'm just a kickin' and a gougin' in the mud and the blood and the beer.

If you bought it used there is a good chance the tubes have some considerable wear. That would be my first avenue I explored.

Try just pulling the tubes out and plugging them back in. Spray some contact cleaner on the pins while you're at it if you have any - and NOT WD40.
