Hi guys,
I'm looking to identify my Univox Hi Flyer (well, at least I think it's a Univox!).
I bought it a few years ago on ebay as seen, no modifications made by me. It's pretty much been in storage since then. It has a Univox "U" on the neck plate, but no logo on headstock. The tuners look different to the standard ones on the Phase III. The main thing that's obviously different is the colour. Mine is a strange wine/black sunburst. Maybe it's a custom paintjob. I don't know. Any help will be appreciated.

First, It's not a Mosrite.

It looks like a Univox to me but I've never seen a bridge cover on such a guitar before. I also know other brands/companies made similar-looking guitars and they may actually have all been manufactured in the same factory - Univox, Guyatone and all of the others. I can't say for sure, But you might ask at the Mosrite Forum about this guitar. Although it's not a Mosrite, It's highly influenced by the Mosrite Ventures I and some folks consider it a copy guitar.
Always tin your strings.

Don't be afraid to be honest.
