So, I have a squier classic vibe tele fitted with a wide range humbucker in the neck correntky, but I want a new guitar. My bandmate has an epiphone willshire that has amazing tone and feel. I love it. The only problem is that since he owns one, I don't really wanna play the same guitar as him. Can anybody recommend me some guitars that are similar to this one in tone/feel? Im on kind of a tight budget, so preferably nothing more than around 500-600 bucks.

I hear they use false bypass switches.

It's, like, so ironic.

If you're not bothered about coil tapping try looking at the Gibson SG Special Faded, or an Epiphone SG. Also I plus one the epi es339 mentioned above; if you do want coil tapping go for the es339 pro, just be careful with how much gain you use: they have a tendency to feedback.

I'm an idiot and I accidentally clicked the "Remove all subscriptions" button. If it seems like I'm ignoring you, I'm not, I'm just no longer subscribed to the thread. If you quote me or do the @user thing at me, hopefully it'll notify me through my notifications and I'll get back to you.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.

Why not? Which is more important, appearance or tone?

There is no mass-produced guitar you can purchase that isn't used by someone else, so quit worrying about it.

Btw, it's the model with the mini humbuckers. When I posted that I didn't realize that they made two different versions. And I have looked in to the Gibson SG special '70s tribute also. ANybody have any experience with that guitar? What does it sound/feel like?

They are nice guitars, and it will most likely sound superior to the epi.

The necks are pretty nice on the 2 I have tried.
