Recently picked up an Ibanez RGR421EXFM for $100 off of craigslist. Wondering if this guitar is worth holding onto and throwing some new pickups in it or if I should resell it. I'm looking for a combination of pickups for blues and prog metal. Suggestions?

You got a killer deal, I think that guitar retailed like 4-500 bucks new!

That's a pretty good Ibanez, I'd keep it.

As for pups, prog-metal would be a good match for Dimarzio Air Zones in the bridge, and a Liquifier in the neck.

I would keep it.

What bands are you talking about? Genres aren't very helpful because everyone interprets genres differently.

It really depends on if you like how it feels in your hands. And that's a great deal. $100 for a guitar is almost always a good deal.

Check out the DiMarzio D Activator set.

If you want to switch it up a little maybe D Sonic or Crunch Lab and a PAF Pro.
