I don't seem to be having any luck downloading videos off of Youtube. I've found several things that claim to do it, but none seem to work. I have a lot of down time at work, and I'd like to download some stuff to watch to keep me awake (10 hour night shifts after sleeping for five hours... it gets tough). So, does anybody know a method that actually works?

No worries; I found it after you posted the name. Thank you so much; I'm really afraid of what would happen if I fell asleep and one of my clients needed me... I take care of people with mental and physical disabilities, and this should help both of us, me because I won't be bored, and them because I'll always be awake and ready to help them.

Edit: It keeps just downloading the ad before the video instead; any idea of how to fix that?

I have been; no matter how far I am into the video, it still downloads the ad.

Edit: It seems that if instead of downloading it through Firefox, I just go through realplayer's browser, it works. Thanks for the help.

Video downloadhelper works great. Haven't come across a video online that I couldn't DL.

It only works for Firefox though. No Chrome support that I know of.

This is terrible advice. Even worse than the useless dry, sarcastic comment I made.

oh, we have some pronlem when download video from youtube.
You can use a software to support to download like AV Tube which I usually use to download video from Youtube and other sites.
This software is quick to download and totally free.
You can search it on Google, I don't remember the link.

Good luck and have good job.
