... For my daughter. She's 13 and graduating the 8th grade. She loves music and wanted an electric guitar. She has small hands so I showed her the basic power cord shape on my Epi's, and we went to some shops for her to hold a few different types.

She loves the thin necks, and wild shapes. I didn't want to spend a lot, but I know better than to buy a junky no-name brand, so I hit up Craigslist. Within a minute or two a found a deal for my future-shredder. LOL

It's a Jackson Flying V, with almost no marks at all on it, including a gig bag, stand, 10w Crate practice amp, Boss DS-1, strap, tuner and some cable for $300.

I strung it up with some DR Neons and this thing looks bad-ass.

I want to get some Neon Drs for my bass for an upcoming benefit show. Does the coloring affect the feel at all? Or does it seem like it will rub off? Happy NGD!

Go ahead and spend your money, I don't care. It won't make you sound better.

Yes, the colouring does come off eventually. I'd say it lasts for a few weeks though.

Sweet 1st guitar. But what if she prefers the Blues and a Strat?

Albert King played the blues on a V. Not a Jackson King V, but a V none the less. If I remember my history, he was one of the first adopters of Gibson's new radical design.
